Gears3 was purchased in 2015 as part of a strategic vision to provide state of the art gear cutting with precision machining. Gears3 specializes in precision machined gearing in various materials such as plastics, high alloy steels, stainless steels, brass and bronze. However, Gears3 is able to offer more than a traditional gear company.

According to company president, Chris Wellman, “Accurate gears requires accurate gear blanks.”

By combining Gears3’s capabilities with sister company, Avers Machine, Gears 3 is able to control one of the most critical stages of gear manufacturing. Simply put, Avers Machine produces the gear blanks for Gears3. This combination allows Gears3 to manufacture quantities from low to higher volume with an emphasis on the quality of product made to customer specifications.

A one-stop source for top-quality gear, precision machining and milling located in Schiller Park, Illinois, Gears3 is housed in a 30,000 square foot of modern manufacturing space with thirty employees and a highly experienced management team. Critical employees in the quality department, production department, sales and purchasing areas help to maintain and monitor processes created in our shop software. Together with ISO 9001: 2015 Quality System, we Gears3 is a company that is lean, efficient and customer focused. It contains state of the art CNC turning and milling machines, with 3, 4, 5 and 7 axis capabilities.

The facility is strategically located at a close range to other industrial zones which support our mission by offering their valuable services to us, while we serve the needs of a variety of traditional industrial and hi tech industries including packaging, scrapping and instrumentation. The location is also accessible to shipping and receiving needs due to its close proximity to major highways and O’Hare International Airport.
